Man stabbed, vehicle stolen early Wednesday morning

Cass County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a stabbing and vehicle theft in the area of Patterson Hill Road and Mann Street.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, the incident was reported around 5:40 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 8, after a 911 call came into Cass County Central Dispatch.
Deputies arrived to find a man who said he had been riding with two other men when one of them stabbed him and both suspects fled in his truck.
A joint search involving the Cass County Sheriff’s Office, Pokagon Tribal Police, and Village of Cassopolis Police led to the recovery of the stolen vehicle and the arrest of the two suspects.
The victim was taken by ambulance to Elkhart General Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.
