One woman hospitalized, another in custody after stabbing in Elkhart

A woman was seriously injured and another taken into custody after a stabbing in Elkhart.
Police say the Elkhart City Communications Center received a 911 call around 12:25 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 10. The caller reported a stabbing in the 1200 block of W. Hubbard Avenue.
Officers and first responders arrived within minutes and found two adult women injured at the scene.
Medics with the Elkhart Fire Department treated both victims before transporting them to the hospital.
One woman suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.
The second woman was also treated and later taken into police custody in connection with the incident.
