As the holiday season begins and winter weather continues to impact the region, Goodwill Industries of Michiana, Inc. is encouraging community members to share the spirit of giving by donating gently used winter clothing to support neighbors in need and fund critical local programs.
“It’s been a rough winter so far, and the need is high right now-especially with the early cold weather and more Goodwill shoppers than ever,” said Debie Coble, CEO of Goodwill Industries of Michiana. “During this season of giving, a simple act like donating winter clothing can make a meaningful difference for individuals and families across our community.”
Goodwill is seeking winter clothing for men, women, and children, including coats, sweaters, boots, hats, and gloves. Donations of pet clothing and accessories are also welcome, as Goodwill stores feature a dedicated pet section.
Donations made to Goodwill stay local, are tax-deductible, and donors receive a tax receipt at the time of donation-making it easy to give back while closing out the year.
