Harris Branch Library hosts meeting regarding planned 900-acre Microsoft data center

Residents attended a meeting at the Harris Branch Library to ask questions about a planned 900-acre Microsoft data center near Capital Avenue and Cleveland Road.
The project, set for the old St. Joe Farm site, was approved last May. Many people said they’re frustrated and feel there still aren’t clear answers about water and power use. County leaders say more details will come in the months ahead.
Early estimates show the center could use up to 1,000 megawatts of electricity, close to what about 730,000 Indiana homes use.
Leaders also said the project will use Mishawaka’s water system, not local groundwater, and that Microsoft will pay for needed road and utility work without local tax breaks.

You have to pass the bill to see what is in the bill. If politicians told you what they were up to you would draw and quarter them after tar and feathering them. Any word from Representative Rodgers about what she thinks of this? Golf courses with no water become motocross parks.
