Part of McKinley Highway in Mishawaka is blocked off while police are searching for a person in the area.

The search began at about 1:15 p.m., according to our news partners ABC 57.

The road is blocked off between Birch and Apple roads.

It’s not clear why police are searching for this person or who the person is.
