Five Fort Wayne residents face charges after police say they came to LaPorte to sell meth.

Those arrested were identified as:

  • Oscar K. Griffin, 36

  • Mario Hanserd, 25

  • Cahniqua Sparks, 23

  • Gina Holliday, 36

  • Dovie Neer, 26

Sparks, Holliday and Neer were arrested on preliminary charges of dealing meth, while Griffin and Hanserd were arrested on preliminary charges of assisting in the dealing of meth, Capt. Mike Kellems with the LaPorte County Sheriff’s Office said.

The group was arrested during a planned event in the parking lot of Walmart in LaPorte at about 4:45 p.m. Thursday, June 23.

“Drug dealers from out of town, bringing firearms makes for a dangerous combination,” Sheriff John Boyd said. “We are very pleased that not only the drugs were seized but a firearm as well.”
