Two people were critically injured after a car rolled over into the woods near South Bend early Sunday morning.

The crash happened around 3 a.m. Sunday near the intersection of North Falcon Street and Washington, according to 95.3 MNC’s reporting partners at ABC 57.

A man and a woman were inside the vehicle. FACT officials believe speed and alcohol were factors in the crash.

Both the driver and the passenger were unresponsive and were taken to Memorial Hospital in critical condition. The two have not yet been identified, but officials believe they’re in their thirties.

It took about three hours for crews to clear the crash. The investigation continues.
