Van driver killed in I-94 crash near Paw Paw

A man driving a work van was killed when he crossed the center median on I-94 and rammed into a semi going the other way.

The crash happened around 9 a.m. Wednesday about two miles east of the Paw Paw exist, according to MLive.

The driver of the van died at the scene. The driver of the semi was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. It’s not known what the semi driver’s condition is.

It’s not known why the van driver crossed the center median. Authorities are still investigating.

Eastbound I-94 was down to one lane for about four hours following the crash, affecting traffic even in Berrien County.
