Michiana is home to two of the top 5 safest colleges in Indiana.

That’s according to the latest rankings by the website BackgroundChecks.org.

Both Bethel and Goshen Colleges finished #3 and #4 on the list respectively, behind Huntington University and Indiana University – Kokomo. Grace College in Winona Lake was the seventh safest college on the list.

IU-South Bend was 18th while the University of Notre Dame came in at 22nd.

FBI crime reports helped make up the rankings, as well as student surveys. In addition, there was some social media analysis and some independent research.
