18 month sentence for woman involved in brutal Walkerton beat-down

Troy Burgh and Gabrielle Adams (Photos supplied/St. Joseph County Jail)

It’s an 18 month sentence for a woman found guilty of brutally beating another woman.

It happened back in May in Walkerton. Surveillance video shows 23-year-old Gabrielle Adams and Troy Burgh hitting the victim with a collapsible baton. The pair also smashed the woman’s head into the pavement several times.

Officers arrived just as Adams and Burgh were trying to drive off. Police say there was a young child in the backseat of their car. That child is now with Child Protective Services.

Adams is serving her time with St. Joseph County Community Corrections, though she is expected to either be released for house arrest, or be given work release.
