Democratic voter group wants voter fraud court documents unsealed

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — A voter mobilization group that’s the focus of an Indiana State Police investigation into possible voter registration fraud is asking a court to unseal documents from a search of their Indianapolis offices.

Patriot Majority USA‘s motion filed Thursday asks a Marion County Superior Court judge to either unseal an affidavit from the Oct. 4 police search or hold a hearing on its request.

The motion says Patriot Majority “has been publicly demonized” by Indiana’s highest state officials through statements publicly proclaiming that it has committed fraud and forgery.

The Washington, D.C.-based group says officials should “provide the facts supporting their reckless conclusory proclamations.”

A State Police investigation spanning 56 counties focuses on whether some voter registration applications Patriot Majority submitted contain elements of fraud.
