An accused robber tried to double his luck after robbing a 7-Eleven in Mishawaka, but he ended up losing it all in the end.

Steven Todman is accused of robbing the 7-Eleven on Catalpa Drive last Thursday, then trying to rob a 7-Eleven on on Adams Road in Granger, according to ABC 57.

At the Mishawaka location, Todman took around $50 from the drawer after indicating he had a gun in his pockets.

One day later, he asked to use the restroom at the Granger location. He was refused, he left, and then came back with a purple bandana on his face demanding money.

The clerk refused to give him money and threatened to call police. When Todman tried to walk behind the counter, a clerk shoved him and he fled, according to police.

A customer followed Todman as he drove off in a minivan. That customer gave police information on Todman’s whereabouts as he was followed.

Police caught up to Todman and arrested him. He’s charged with robbery and theft.
