Alcohol may be a factor in a crash which claimed the life of a 53-year-old man.

The collision happened around 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 7, on Grape Road in front of Lowe’s in Mishawaka.

Police say the victim was driving a passenger car and sideswiped an SUV, then hit another SUV head-on, according to 95.3 MNC’s reporting partners at ABC 57.

He was taken to the hospital where he later died, ABC 57 reported.

A passenger in his car was injured, but will be okay. The drivers of the two SUVs also suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
