Two women arrested after meth raid at Mason Township home

Two people were arrested after Cass County Drug Enforcement agents executed a search warrant at a home in the 19000 block of Stateline Road in Mason Township on suspicion that the manufacturing and use of methamphetamine was taking place there.

Upon searching the home, detectives located drug paraphernalia for the use of methamphetamine, according to the Cass County Sheriff’s Department.

A 36-year-old woman was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and maintaining a drug house, the sheriff’s department reported.

A 37-year-old woman was also arrested for conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine and maintaining a drug house, the sheriff’s department reported.

The women will be arraigned on Tuesday, Jan. 24.

The Michigan Department of Health & Human Services was called to help take care of two children who were inside in the home at the time that the search warrant was executed.
