Student arrested at Riley High School after gun found in restroom

A student at Riley High School in South Bend has been arrested after authorities say he allegedly brought a gun to school.

A South Bend Schools spokesperson told 95.3 MNC’s reporting partners at ABC 57 that administrators at Riley were notified after a student saw the gun in a restroom.

Besides the student who brought the gun into the building, several other students face disciplinary action.

The district says at no time were students or staff at Riley in any danger.
