Two overnight shootings in South Bend result in two injuries

Two shootings late Thursday night in South Bend resulted in a pair of injuries.

The first shooting happened in the 1200 block of Madison Street. Police responded to a report of shots fired but found nothing at the scene, according to WNDU.

A short time later a man showed up at a local hospital suffering from a gunshot wound after being driven there by a relative. The victim was shot in the arm and leg and his injuries were not considered life-threatening.

A second shooting reportedly happened at a home in the 200 block of East Victoria Street. Few details have been released but officials believe it may have been an attempted burglary.

One person was injured.
