Two people arrested after SWAT situation at Mishawaka home

Two people have been arrested after a SWAT standoff in Mishawaka.

It happened around 10 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 25, at a home in the 300 block of Walnut Street, according to the Mishawaka Police Department.

On arrival, police used tear gas in order to clear the home.

A man and woman who were inside were taken into custody.

Police say they heard frequent complaints that the home was a front for drugs.

Authorities got a search warrant and activated the SWAT team to help in their investigation.
