High Wind Warning in effect for most of Michiana on Wednesday

The National Weather Service in Northern Indiana has issued a High Wind Warning in effect from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Wednesday, March 8.

Long periods of sustained west winds to 30 to 40 mph with gusts to 60 mph are possible.

Impacts from the windy conditions include:

  • Scattered trees and limbs downed
  • Power line damage and outages possible
  • Difficult driving conditions, especially on north south roads
  • Loose objects will be blown around
