Former Notre Dame football player Max Redfield had his sentencing hearing Tuesday morning in court.

He entered a plea agreement last month on charges of possession of a handgun and possession of marijuana. A guilty plea was thrown out last month after Redfield failed a drug test.

Tuesday morning, a judge suspended jail time for Redfield. He was also given a year on probation.

He was one of five players arrested in Fulton County last August, right before the beginning of the Fighting Irish football season.
