Complaints of loud party leads to several arrests for underage drinking

More than a dozen young adults were arrested for underage drinking after the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department responded to reports of a loud party at a home in the 25000 block of Meadow Oak Lane in Elkhart.

It happened in the early morning hours of Sunday, March 19.

There were 16 individuals found to be under the age of 21. Three of these individuals were under the age of 18 and released to their parents, while the remaining 13 individuals that were over the age of 18 but under the age of 21, were issued tickets for Illegal Consumption of Alcoholic Beverages, and released at the scene.

Those subjects who were cited and released were Virginia Mora, 18, of Elkhart, Adriana Zilm, 19, of Elkhart, Justin Olenczuk, 19, of Elkhart, Vanessa Drake, 18, of Elkhart, Mariela Patlan-Luna, 18, of Elkhart, Francisco Gamez, 18, of Elkhart, Daniel Ruvalcaba, 19, of Goshen, Erika Cartagena, 19, of Elkhart, Nestor Aguilera, 19, of Elkhart, Deisey Lopez, 18, of Bristol, Krista Bryant, 19, of Brownstown, MI, Bridgett Vasquez-Morfin, 19, of Elkhart, and Beatriz Rocha, 20, of Elkhart.

Daniel Castaneda, 21, of Elkhart was arrested for resisting law enforcement and incarcerated at the Elkhart County Jail. Viridiana Garcia, 22, of Elkhart was arrested for contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and neglect of a dependent.
