Juvenile killed, 3 others injured in Larwill crash

A juvenile was killed and three others were injured in a crash in Whitley County this past weekend.

The collision happened around 1:30 a.m. on Sunday, April 16, at U.S. 30 and State Road 5 in Larwill.

A 25-year-old Warsaw man was traveling west on U.S. 30 when he failed to stop at a red light causing him to hit a car carrying two juveniles, and an 18-year-old man from Warsaw, according to police.

The man’s truck hit the car on the passenger side, police said.

The identity of the juvenile who died had not been released as of Sunday. The other juvenile suffered bleeding on his brain, a collapsed lung and a fracture in his right leg, according to the Fort Wayne Journal Gazette.

The 18-year-old suffered multiple fractures in his right leg. The man who allegedly ran the red light was treated for minor injuries.
