Two Granger residents killed in motorcycle crash in Berrien Springs

Two people from Granger were killed in a crash involving a motorcycle in Berrien Springs.

The collision happened around 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 22, at the intersection of E. Shawnee Road and Garr Road.

The initial investigation by Berrien Springs-Oronoko Township Police determined the cycle, with the two occupants from Granger, was eastbound on Shawnee Rd. approaching the Garr Rd. intersection.  A car, driven by a 79 year old Buchanan man, was westbound on Shawnee Rd. and attempted a left turn on to southbound Garr Rd.  The cycle collided with the passenger car resulting in fatal injuries to both cycle occupants who were pronounced dead at the scene.  The driver of the passenger car was not injured.

The victims are identified as David Allen Cox, 46, and  Christine Marie Cox, 45.

The investigation into the crash is still underway.
