The former clerk-treasurer for Kingsford Heights has been arrested.

Patricia Arnett face two counts of theft and one count of official misconduct in LaPorte County, according to the (Northwest Indiana) Times.

Indiana State Police say their investigation shows the 46-year-old was paid hourly, but wasn’t working the hours she claimed.

Court documents say she gave herself an hourly wage instead of the typical salary for that position, then started inflating her hours on her hand-written time card. Video evidence proved her inflated hours, and police say she gave herself an extra $12,000 for work that wasn’t actually performed in 2016.

She’s facing up to six years in prison if convicted on all charges.
