A Niles truck driver was killed by his own semi.

That’s according to Niles Police, who say the incident happened at Paragon Tempered Glass in Niles at about 5:15 a.m. Tuesday. Officers told WSJM that the victim, 64-year-old Dennis Kobb, was found dead at the scene.

Officers believe Kobb was in the process of moving an empty trailer from the loading dock, fell out of the cab, and then got caught under the rear tires as the semi kept rolling. Kobb was killed instantly.

Niles Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances that led to Kobb’s death.

Paragon Tempered Glass produces customized tempered and insulated glass to many regional markets.
