South Bend man shot while driving SUV, crashes into pole

South Bend Police say a motorist was shot while driving early Thursday morning.

It’s not known exactly where the driver was when they were shot, but the vehicle continued moving and ended up striking two other vehicles and a utility pole before crashing in a yard in the 1100 block of Huey Street around 12:50 a.m. Thursday.

No one reported hearing the shots. The 40 year-old driver is expected to survive and his SUV had several bullet holes in it.
