Akron man in critical condition after off-road vehicle collision

An Akron man was taken to the hospital with critical injuries after Indiana Conservation Officers say he lost control of the off-road vehicle he was driving.

Emergency crews were called to the area State Road 19 and County Road 300 South around 2 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 26.

The vehicle went off roadway, rolled over and struck a utility pole.

The man’s parents, who were following him in another vehicle, found him and called 911.

The man was airlifted with serious head injuries to Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne.

No protective gear was worn, according to conservation officers.
