South Bend man injured in Howard park area shooting

South Bend police are continuing to investigate a Thursday night shooting that left one person injured.

Police were dispatched to Broadway and Fellows shortly before 8 p.m. Thursday. This after they got a report that someone had been shot in the Howard Park area.

A man was found injured inside his vehicle. He wasn’t hurt by any bullets, but rather shattered glass from a car window. He’s expected to recover.

ABC 57 reports that witnesses told police that a vehicle pulled up to the car, threats were exchanged, and the vehicle was shot at as the other vehicle drove away.

There’s no suspect information at this time.
