Warsaw man drives pickup into building

A truck ran into the Smokes for Less cigarette shop on Center Street in Warsaw after a passenger says the driver choked on coffee.

The Times Union reports a 35-year-old was driving on North Parker Street to Lake City Highway Monday morning when he ran off the road and into the building, causing it to collapse onto a nearby van.

The driver was taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital for a back injury and the passenger later went to the hospital for seek treatment of pain to his neck, shoulder, and knee.

Damage was also caused to a nearby mailbox that was hit by the truck when it ran off the road.
