Bristol man seriously hurt in four-vehicle (and one trailer) crash

A Bristol man suffered serious injuries after a four-vehicle crash Thursday morning.

The crash happened at about 8:45 in the morning on northbound S.R. 15, about a mile and a half south of Bristol.

The Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department says the vehicle being driven by a 33-year-old Bristol man crossed the center line and sideswiped a truck that was being driven by a Kentucky man, and then the travel trailer the Kentucky man was hauling. Debris from the trailer scattered across the roadway and hit a third vehicle.

Meanwhile, the Bristol man’s vehicle started rotating and hit the front-end of a fourth vehicle before finally coming to a stop.

The Bristol man was taken to the hospital with severe head trauma and the Kentucky man’s trailer was heavily damaged. No one else was hurt.
