Michigan City man arrested following Sunday morning murder

A Michigan City man is accused of shooting someone during a burglary.

22-year-old Joshua Ratliff is charged with murder after the shooting just after midnight Sunday morning. The shooting took place at a home on Spring Street, south of the West Michigan and East Michigan intersection.

ABC 57 reports that officers got a call of a burglary taking place, but when they arrived, they found Brian Turner dead of a gunshot wound in a bedroom.

An investigation revealed Ratliff as a suspect. He’s being held on $1 million bond at LaPorte County Jail.
