Indiana State Police trooper pulls over reindeer’s vehicle on I-74

Every now and then, a traffic stop reveals something other than traffic or criminal violations. That was the case Thursday morning on westbound Interstate 74 near State Road 39.

An Indiana State Trooper pulled a van over for a minor traffic violation. The driver asked the trooper if he’d like to look inside the rear of the van. Inside was a holiday passenger– an adult reindeer.

The driver runs Silly Safaris Shows out of Indianapolis and was on his way to an elementary school in Attica to put on a show with the reindeer.

Pictures were taken and pleasantries were exchanged, thus enjoying the spirit of Christmas, and reminding all of us that you just never know what will transpire during a traffic stop along our highways.
