Police are investigating to find out how some cookies laced with marijuana ended up at a nursing home in LaPorte.

The Oreo cookies were laced with THC and, according to the resident who had them, came from Michigan and were being used for medicinal purposes. WSBT reports the resident reportedly suffered from pain.

Police found out about when after the resident offered one of the cookies to a staffer. The resident is staying mum, so far, as to how they got the cookies.

No word, yet, if any charges are being filed.

Police destroyed nearly two dozen of them and issued a reminder that marijuana-laced anything is illegal in Indiana, even if it’s for medicinal purposes.
