Arrest made in connection to Patrick Metals homicide investigation

An arrest has been made in connection to the homicide investigation at Patrick Metals in Mishawaka.

Tommy Love, 34, was booked into the St. Joseph County Jail on a preliminary count of  voluntary manslaughter in the death of Aaron Woods Jr., 37, of South Bend.

Authorities were called to the business just after 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 6.

St. Joseph County Metro Homicide Commander Tim Corbett declined to say how Woods died, but the attack was initially reported as a stabbing.

Patrick Metals is located at 5020 Lincolnway East in Mishawaka.

The plant was shut down as the investigation got underway on Tuesday.

Several Mishawaka and PHM Schools, including Penn High School, were placed on lockdown as the search for the suspect continued into the afternoon.
