Man severly burned in Milton Township house fire, explosion

Two people were taken to the hospital after a reported explosion and fire at a home in Milton Township.

It happened on Tuesday night, Feb. 13,  in the 33000 block of Bertrand Road.

Cass County Officials received calls from neighbors about the blast, according to 95.3 MNC’s reporting partners at ABC 57.

When crews arrived, the home was fully engulfed.

A man suffered burns to his face, back, stomach, and hands, ABC 57 reported.

His wife was treated for other medical issues unrelated to the fire.

A firefighter was taken to the hospital for treatment of a leg injury, WSBT reported.

So far, there is no word on the cause.
