There are two more cases of threats against students and schools in Northern Indiana.

Police in Fulton County received a report about a Tippecanoe Valley School student who threatened harm to others over social media. The student was identified and apprehended on Tuesday before any actual violence could take place. dditional safety measures are in place at the school corporation.

Meantime, an investigation is underway into an alleged threat to Whitko Middle School. The threat came in the form of an email to school administrators. Indiana State Police and Whitley County Sheriff’s Department determined this to be unsubstantiated, but increased the police presence at all the Whitko Community Schools.

Police are reminding parents and students to contact law enforcement and school officials if they see or hear something suspicious or a threatening or concerning social media post.
