A Cassopolis man was arrested after police found a number of illegal drugs in his vehicle during a traffic stop on the Indiana Toll Road in Steuben County.

Troopers pulled over an SUV for a moving violation as it was headed westbound on the Toll Road, about nine miles west of the Angola exit.

When police spoke with the driver, 34-year-old Kondwani Bethea of Cassopolis, they reportedly smelled marijuana coming from the vehicle. They searched it and found two glass jars with suspected marijuana, plus a container with suspected cocaine, and another container filled with pills and a small bag of suspected psychedelic mushrooms.

Bethea is in custody in the Steuben County jail on drug charges.
