Niles home destroyed in explosion, fire

A home in Niles was destroyed after an explosion and fire.

It happened around 11:40 a.m. on Sunday, May 6, in the 600 block of Vine Street.

Seeral emergency crews responded to the scene.

There was nobody inside the home at the time of the fire, according to 95.3 MNC’s reporting partners at ABC 57.

Some power lines outside of the home were knocked down due to the explosion.

There were no injuries in battling the blaze, ABC 57 reported.

So far, there is no word on the cause of the blast and fire.
