Two traffic stops, two arrests in Marshall County

A woman is facing drug charges after a traffic stop on U.S. 31.

It happened in Marshall County on U.S. 31 near 4A Road at about 7:30 p.m. Friday. A deputy pulled the van over because he felt the driver may have been impaired.

A K9 officer reportedly alerted the officer to the presence of drugs, and that officer allegedly found a glass crack pipe with cocaine residue.

33-year-old Tiffany Makley was arrested on cocaine and paraphernalia charges.

Meanwhile…

A man allegedly driving impaired was arrested on a charge of driving a vehicle while intoxicated.

46-year-old Shawn Morningstar was pulled over on U.S. 31 southbound near 13th road early Sunday morning.

Morningstar, who was wearing a t-shirt promoting marijuana at the time, was given a preliminary charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
