Drugs, pills and a stolen jet-ski found in Nappanee bust

A joint investigation by the Nappanee Police Department, the Indiana State Police, and the Marshall County Drug Task Force ultimately lead to a the arrest of 55-year-old David Chadwell of Nappanee.

A search warrant was served at Chadwell’s residence located at the 600 block of W. Centennial Street in Nappanee Thursday afternoon. That’s when approximately 5 grams of suspected methamphetamine, 1 gram of suspected heroin, narcotic pills, numerous items of drug paraphernalia, and a stolen Sea Doo Wave Runner were located by authorities.

Chadwell was arrested on preliminary charges of Possession of Methamphetamine, Level 6 Felony, Possession Of A Controlled Substance, Level 6 Felony, Possession Of A Controlled Substance, A-Misdemeanor, Maintaining A Common Nuisance, Level 6 Felony, and Theft, A-Misdemeanor.  Chadwell was transported to the Elkhart County Jail.

This investigation began as a result of numerous citizen complaints received by the Nappanee Police Department.
