As many as 5,800 Indiana Michigan Power customers experienced an outage. It happened around 10:45 a.m. on Tuesday, June 5.
Most of the customers affected were in the Elkhart area.
The utility stated an outage occurred at a substation.
I&M expects power to be restored around 1:30 p.m.
