Four arrests made in LaPorte County after Vietnam veteran’s home is burglarized

Four people have been arrested after an elderly Vietnam veteran’s home was burglarized in LaPorte County.

It happened in July along 3rd Line Road in the Kingsford Industrial Park near Kingsford Heights.

The 72-year-old man who lives in the home told WNDU the thieves ransacked scrap metal, guns and prescription medication were taken from the property. Several vehicles were either taken or destroyed as well.

Friday, officers arrested 19-year-olds Ethan Binversie and Bailey Gervais of LaPorte and 22-year-old Tyler Jaeger of Michigan City. A 16-year-old juvenile was also arrested.

All four are facing burglary and other related charges.
