Critical injuries reported in stabbing at home on Tecumseh Drive in Granger

Three people were injured in a stabbing in Granger.

St. Joseph County Police were called to a home in the 50000 block of Tecumseh Drive, which is in the Park Forest edition, near the Indiana-Michigan state line, just before 9 a.m. on Monday, Sep. 3.

A 41-year old man, 66-year-old woman and a 13-year-old boy were involved in the incident. All three residents were taken to the hospital for treatment.

The man is believed to have been the aggressor and his wounds may have been self-inflicted, according to St. Joseph County Police. He underwent surgery.

The woman and teenager were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The St. Joseph County Prosecutor’s Office will determine if criminal charges will be filed.

Detectives were still working to piece together the details of the incident, as of 3 p.m. on Monday.
