Police: Woman found unconscious w/needle, heroin, child in car

A woman has been arrested after police say they found her unconscious at a gas station with a needle in her hand and a toddler in the vehicle.

Elkhart County Sheriff’s deputies found the woman around 3 o’clock, Thursday morning, at County Road 6 and County Road 11.

Once on scene, they say Megan Panagopoulos, 27, woke up.

Panagopoulos was found to be in operation of her vehicle while intoxicated impaired by drugs, with a five year old in the vehicle and while in possession of a syringe, heroin, cocaine, methamphetamine, a controlled substance and a prescription drug.

Panagopoulos was arrested for operating while intoxicated, neglect of a dependent, possession of a syringe, possession of a narcotic drug, possession of cocaine, possession of a legend drug, possession of methamphetamine and possession of a controlled substance.
