Teenagers arrested after alleged armed robbery at online sale meeting place

Two teenagers have been arrested after Elkhart Police say they pulled a gun on their victims, who they aranged to meet after setting up an online purchase.

Erick Montes, 19, and Dayaavon Johnson, 16, were arrested last week, charged with felony armed robbery.

The alleged crime happened back on Nov. 4.

The victims told police they set up a face-to-face transacton on Facebook Marketplace but, instead, were robbed at gunpoint.

Montes is being held on $75,000 bond and has an ICE immigration detainer placed on him, according to The Elkhart Truth.

Johnson, who is being charged as an adult, is being held on $100,000 bond, The Truth reported.
