A Sturgis man was arrested after he allegedly took a bite out of a crime-fighter. It happened on Sunday, Nov. 18, when officers were responding to the area of 6500 North-100 East in Howe for a slide-off crash.

At the scene, police were told about a truck, nearby, that had been broken into.

One thing led to another and when LaGrange County Police tried to take Dominic Kolinske into custody, they say he resisted and bit an officer on the hand.

Kolinske was arrested on preliminary charges of resisting, battery to a law enforcement officer and criminal mischief.
