Goshen woman pleads guilty to deadly hit-and-run on Old County Road 17

A Goshen woman has pleaded guilty to a deadly hit-and-run crash on old County Road 17 in Elkhart County.

Briana Nowlin, 20, admitted to leaving the scene of the early morning collision, back in March, at Old 17 near County Road 25. Police say Austin Delgado, 21, was lying in the roadway and left for dead.

The Elkhart Truth reports investigators were led to Nowlin after a series of leads, including an interview with a passenger in her vehicle.

She was charged in July.

The Truth reports Nowlin originally told police that she thought she hit a deer, but later admitted she knew she hit a person.
