Two shooting investigations underway in South Bend

Two shootings took place on Thursday, Nov. 29, in the City of South Bend.

The most recent shooting happened around 5:20 p.m. in the 800 block of South Albert Avenue.

The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

There was no immediate word on the circumstances that led to the shooting.

In a separate incident, a man was shot in the leg.

It happened after 12 a.m. in the 3800 block of West Jefferson.

The victim told police he was shot by an unknown black male in a red car.

Anybody with information about either shooting is asked to contact South Bend Police or Michiana Crime Stoppers.
