Kimberly-Clark has announced a recall of its “U By Kotex Sleek Tampons, Regular Absorbency” that are sold throughout the US and Canada.

The product has a quality-related defect that could impact performance. In some cases the product has unraveled or come apart during use.

In some cases, this defect has caused users to seek medical attention to remove tampon pieces that were left in the body.

There have been a small number of reports of infections, irritations and other symptoms.
