I&M launching new way customers can help fellow customers.

In this season of giving, Indiana Michigan Power is launching a new way customers can help fellow customers. I&M has created the Neighbor to Neighbor Program to help qualified customers with their energy bills.

I&M is starting the fund with $50,000 and offering Indiana customers who choose to
participate an easy way to help others. All of the money contributed will go directly toward paying the utility bills of customers who qualify.

The Neighbor to Neighbor program is beginning a month after I&M launched the Energy Share program with $275,000 for area Community Action Programs – including Brightpoint and REAL Services – to assist qualifying customers with bill payment and to weatherize their homes, reducing energy use.

To qualify, customers must meet the guidelines of the federal Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program and other eligibility standards.

In coming months, I&M anticipates announcing details on where customers can apply as well as additional ways customers can contribute. Look for updates at
