Regina Williams-Preston plans announcement about South Bend mayoral race

Another hat is about to thrown into the ring for the South Bend Mayoral Race.

An official announcement is expected Thursday afternoon from 2nd District Councilwoman Regina Williams-Preston. Her office has announced she will hold an event at the Linden Grill Thursday at 5 p.m.

A press release says Williams-Preston has led the way on a number of issues that are immeasurably important to the future of South Bend, addressing such issues as housing, neighborhood development, education, and living wages.

Williams-Preston has served on the South Bend Common Council for four years and has spent nearly 20 years as a public school teacher and community organizer.
